Turquoise Piano Island

Well we all know it was bound to happen.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love to paint things.
A lot of times more then once.
So after living with my piano island over a year I
decided to go from white to turquoise.
The tile in my backsplash has different shades of turquoise, blues and greens.
And there's turquoise throughout my house.

To begin with I painted it turquoise. It wasn't exactly what I wanted.
I lived with it a few days then I dry brushed over it with my bright green
that I use on a lot of things.
I lived with that for a few days also. Once again that wasn't what I wanted either.
So I repainted over it again with turquoise.
But this time I finally knew what I wanted to do.
I dry brushed over it with black and it was exactly the look I wanted.
I have other pieces of furniture dry brushed with black so I don't
know why it took me so long to decide for this piece.

Here's a close up of the effect.

Here's where Cocoa has her meals.
She seems to like the color change.
She told me so!

Here's a refresher of the white island. Here.
Which I loved.
I just wanted a change and paint is the easiest way to do that.
Who knows, next year it might become white again.
Or possibly another color.

One more look.
Hope you like the change.

Search for the Lord and for His strength;
seek His face always.
