STYLING A COFFEE TABLE

Hello everyone.
I was recently introduced to Chairish,
you can go to their site here.
https://www.chairish.com/collection/cocktail-and-coffee-tables
And since I love repurposed and vintage furniture,
it was no surprise that I jumped at the invitation
to take part in their "Coffee Table Style Challenge."

Well, being the repurpose and recycle girl that I am, I just decided
to go throughout my house and come up with some ideas using things
I already had.
She ask me to pick a coffee table from their website to use.
This is the table I chose.
I chose this table because it seems very organic and natural.
I think any style of decor can blend with natural.
I also liked the bottom shelf.
"Storage" people!
I hope you like the ideas that I came up with.
To start with I create a blue and white theme.
I collect a lot of blue and white items so this was easy for me.
I like to put things in trays or large plates.
This makes it easy to remove if necessary, such as for a food spread.
Or wine! yum.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love birds,(really all animals)
and plants. So this is my little bird center piece.

This is a centerpiece that I'm currently using on my own coffee table.
It's just a slab of wood, artificial greenery and a candle with a flicker flame
(I love that candle.)

This is my little woodland theme.
The candle holder is just a piece of a log that I routed out
and put a battery votive in it.
The little fox came from a consignment store.
And of course some greenery.

And the last one that I have uses a big beautiful turquoise platter.
I got this from Crate and Barrel years ago. On sale of course.
Another thing that I collect is mercury glass items.
I love the sparkle.
As you can see on this platter I added a candleholder, a little vase with greenery
and a mercury oil diffuser.

Usually when I style my coffee table I often times put my collection on one end
of the table.  To me this makes room for magazines, books drinks and feet.
Let's be real here, we all put our feet up on the coffee table.
Or is that just in my neck of the woods? :)

Just imagine any of these examples on that beautiful table.
Well, I hope you liked my choices and explanations of styling a coffee table.
Be sure and check out Chairish.com for lots more items.
Thanks Holly for the invitation.

And as always I'm ending my post with a scripture.
I hope it will speak to you.

And one called to another:
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord
of Hosts;
His glory fills the whole earth.
Isaiah 6:3

  1. Hi Lyn,
Mercury glass is beautiful in almost any setting or vignette. That ceramic peacock though.... that is darling. I do love those birds.
