The Chicks at eight weeks old.

My how time flies.
The chicks are eight weeks old.
This is Sunflower.

This is Nugget.
I can't wait to see how she turns out.

Well Hello Dolly!
She's the biggest of the three.
Of course her mama (Copper) is a big chicken.

They all have feathered feet because their dads are bantams.

Just drinking around the water cooler.

As yet, no one has crowed.
Still hoping that they are all girls.

They were blended in with the older girls at 7 weeks
and everything went very well.
Everyone seems to be getting along.
In fact, when I went to see if they had gone in the coop for the night
this is what I found.
Copper and Blackberry were sleeping in the run for some reason
and Sunflower was sleeping on top of Copper.
They were on the highest perch in the run.

I couldn't believe that Copper was allowing this to happen.
And what's more mysterious is how did Sunflower get on her back.
Did she fly that high?
Did Copper jump up there with Sunflower already on her back?
Well, we'll never know but it was a funny site.

I enjoy reading your comments.
