Hello everyone. Well I decided on another project.
It's been a while so I was itching to get started.
I decided to re-do my back entry with some more shiplap.
Once again I didn't use real shiplap, I used wood planks
that I got at Home Depot for $5.00 an 8ft. board. Great deal!
Here's a look at the finished room.
Coming up a few before, during and after shots.
Lets get started.
Many, many years ago I painted the back entry with an outdoor feel.
I painted a faux stone wall, painted lattice and ivy
around the mirror and along the ceiling.
Here's a few pictures at different angles.
I had so many colorful bottles I decided
to display them on an open shelf.
I painted a few outdoor objects such as the hanging birdhouse.
The rabbits aren't hand painted. They are actually from
some wallpaper I had used years ago. I just hand cut them
out to look more like hand painting.
The wood panel you see hides the old water lines for a washing machine hook up.
When we moved in the washer and dryer were in the back entry.
It could get really crowded in there. So after a few years we moved them
down to the basement. Now after thirty years we have moved them back
upstairs into my old dressing room area. It's so nice not having to lug
laundry up and down stairs.
Now this area as you can see is used for hanging coats.
So all the wood has been installed and here's
some pictures before it was primed and painted.
I decided not to cover around the mirror.
One reason it would involve very tedious cuts
and the other reason I kinda like having a little outdoor feel around the mirror.
Here's the wall primed and painted.
Here we are all loaded up with stuff.
All done.
Ready to use again.
Hope you enjoyed the makeover.

May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.
